This is an unfinished baltic birch Zia Sun cutout — the four-pointed sun symbol at the heart of the New Mexico state flag, and one of the most recognized symbols of the American Southwest. It works as a standalone wall piece, a wreath accent, or a base for painted or stained finish work. Folks use these for Southwest-themed home decor, state pride displays, and New Mexico gift projects. We've also seen them turn into door hangers, interchangeable sign accents, tiered tray decor, and painted art pieces for gallery walls. The open center circle and radiating ray groups give it a strong graphic presence at any size — it reads clean whether you're painting the whole piece a single color or working detail into each ray.
