This is an unfinished baltic birch sea urchin cutout — a single-piece silhouette with radiating spines and an open, lacy interior that gives it real visual presence at larger sizes. It works as a craft base for coastal, ocean, and nature-themed projects of almost any scale. Folks use these for beach-themed wall art, coastal wreath accents, seaside room decor, and tiered tray arrangements. We've also seen them turn into door hangers, gallery wall pieces, and nautical-themed gift-making projects. This one has some fine cutting work — 22 interior openings and dozens of pointed spine tips — so it shows best at 10 inches and up where the detail has room to breathe. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch. Available 5" and up — or customize sizes or pick from available modifications in our Concept Studio. Most simple modifications are at no additional cost.
