Salamander ($1.10 – $29.31)

This is an unfinished baltic birch salamander cutout — a solid silhouette with four splayed feet, individual toe details, and a long curling tail. It works as a craft base for nature-themed projects of almost any scale. Folks use these for wildlife wall art, woodland and reptile-themed room accents, and nature table displays. We've also seen them turn into painted door hangers, wreath accents for fall and woodland themes, and gift pieces for the lizard and salamander enthusiasts in your life. The detailed edge — all those toe tips and the winding tail — makes these satisfying to paint or stain, and they hold fine detail well at larger sizes. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch. Available 4" and up — or customize sizes or pick from available modifications in our Concept Studio.
