Filigree Easter Egg ($7.82 – $29.31)

This is an unfinished filigree Easter egg cutout — an egg silhouette filled with swirling scrollwork, teardrop voids, and crescent cutouts that together give it a lace-like, ornate look. It's the kind of shape that holds up well on its own as a painted wall piece, or layers into a wreath or door hanger as a focal accent. Folks use these for Easter basket tags, spring wreath focal pieces, door hangers, and painted holiday display pieces. We've also seen them show up in baby shower table arrangements and spring gift-making projects. The scrollwork detail rewards careful painting — acrylic works well, and stain brings out the wood grain in the open filigree areas nicely. Lots of fine cuts on this one — 32 interior piercings and flowing bridge work that's part of the character. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch.
