This is an unfinished baltic birch caterpillar cutout — a solid silhouette with a looping arched body, scalloped segments, small legs, and a round head with antennae. It works as a craft base for nursery wall art, baby shower decorations, and springtime projects of almost any scale. Folks use these for nursery room displays, baby shower table arrangements, and seasonal door hangers. We've also seen them used as gift tags, garland pieces, and painted accents for spring wreaths. The scalloped edge detail gives it a playful character that works well at larger sizes where the segmented body has room to read clearly. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch, ready for paint, stain, or just leaving it natural.
