Axolotl ($0.59 – $29.31)

This is an unfinished baltic birch axolotl cutout — the Mexican walking fish, complete with its signature feathery external gills. It works as a craft base for animal lovers, hobbyists, and anyone who keeps or just appreciates axolotls. Folks use these for wall art displays, shelf accents, and themed room decor. We've also seen them turn into painted ornaments, gift toppers for axolotl fans, and components in mixed-media art projects. The gill detail is part of what makes this cut interesting — fine branching fingers along both sides of the head that give the finished piece real character at larger sizes. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop and ready for paint, stain, wood-burning, or leaving it natural. Cut from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch.
