This is an unfinished baltic birch compass rose — a classic 8-pointed directional star set inside a bold outer ring. It works as a standalone nautical accent or as a base for a painted, stained, or wood-burned piece. Folks use these for coastal wall art, lake house and cabin decor, and nautical-themed room arrangements. We've also seen them turn into wreath focal pieces, interchangeable porch sign accents, tiered tray decor, and travel-themed gallery wall elements. The design has real cutting complexity — the star's fine spoke points connecting to the outer ring are detailed work, and the piece reads best at larger sizes where the geometry has room to breathe. Cut to order in our Minnesota shop from 1/8" cabinet grade baltic birch. Available 6" and up — or customize sizes or pick from available modifications in our Concept Studio. Most simple modifications are at no additional cost.
